Caringin Tilu

For real Bandung people, it's just a shame if they don't know about this place. It is a highland hill area on the southern of this city. Normally people go north to get to higher place in Bandung, but rarely know that the southern part has also more to offer. When you drive through the Pasupati highway, then go onward to the Padasuka street, then you will find the Saung Angklung Udjo. From there, go further upward through the narrow, climbing, and winding road. You will get to the high place known as Caringin Tilu. The name actually derrived from where the locals used to refer to the Caringin Tree (Banyan Tree) grew up in the area. There were three of them there, so then it is called Caringin Tilu (the Three Banyan Tree). The Banyan Trees are not there now actually. But what special about this place is that you can see Bandung city lights vastly and it seems so closed. If you're looking for different experience in enjoying Bandung at night, then surely you have to go here. Up there, you can find small food stalls, with simple construction using bamboo materials, but it is so cozy. The breeze might give you a challenge though. So, please do bring jackets, sweater, or windbreaker as they call it. In the food stall, you can just order hot coffee and enjoy the view of Bandung citylights.
